Enrollments will open as soon as the new date and direction of the festival is known. Performances are based on the "first come, first served" principle . Unfortunately we cannot accept enrollments before this date, nor can we give priority to certain schools (even if you visit the festival every year, you are NOT automatically enrolled for the next edition). This seems most fair to us! If you cannot contact us on the first day of enrollments for any reason, of course you can have your enrollment sent in through somebody else (for example a friend enrolls the both of you).
You can enroll for the open stage by filling in the form on the website.
If all performance slots are taken when you enroll, we will put your name on a waiting list.
Please don't be discouraged if you end up on the waiting list! In our experience, there are a lot of changes in the program every year in the weeks/days prior to the festival (dancers canceling, ... ), often even very last minute!
Because we would like to give the opportunity to perform to as many dancers as possible, there is a time limit of maximum 5 min. per performance slot. If course you can also do a shorter performance :-) If you would like to bring 2 different styles, it is also possible to divide your performance slot into 2 slots of 2,5 min. each! Please let us know well in advance if you need time to change costumes.
Of course! However, because we want to give the opportunity to perform to as many dancers and schools as possible, we woulde like to ask that each soloist/duet/group takes only 1 performance spot initiatlly. After the first round of enrollments, we can see if it's possible to give you more performance time!
Performance spots are grouped in blocks of 1 hour. We cannot give you an exact performance time. If you would like to perform between certain hours, please mention this with your enrollment and we will try our best to accomodate your wishes. Once the performers list is complete, there is not much room left for moving spots around, so please don't wait too long to ask for certain things!
Nobody likes to perform for an empty room! This is why we would like to encourage performers to arrive and be ready BEFORE your performance block starts (especially if you are in the first or last block). Support your fellow dancers and encourage each other!
The stage has a free dancing area of 8 metres wide and 6 meters deep. It's not possible to dance in front of the stage, as there are chairs for the audience. You can enter the stage on one side only: stage left.
We will provide a table at the entrance where everybody can put flyers and other promotional material.
Handing out flyers personally in the festival room is not allowed.
Did you enroll to perform at our festival and do you have to cancel? Please let us know as soon as possible, so we can contact the next dancer on our waiting list! Entrance fees that have been paid already will be reimbursed only when cancelling 1 month before the event, minus 5€ administration costs. Performances that are cancelled less then 1 month before will not be reimbursed.
Please have look at the ticket page.
De Jagersborg has a small parking lot right at the door step.
You can also park you car in the streets nearby. The parking of the "Gemeentehuis" is currently under construction. You can however park at the Carrefour nearby.
These parkings are free.
No. The owners of our venue do not allow any animals inside of the building.
You are allowed to videotape and take pictures for your own personal use. Please consider the fact that it is not allowed to publish pictures or videos from other dancers/dance schools without their consent!
We have been lucky in the previous years with the presence of some very good hobby photographers, with gorgeous pictures as a result. (keep an eye on our facebook page, where we will post all pictures we come across!).
This year there will be no professional video of the performances, so you are allowed to make your own videos.
